Learning Hive Becomes an Approved Tuition Provider for the National Tutoring Programme

Learning Hive, a London-based after school childcare organisation set up to bring outstanding education to disadvantaged children, is proud to announce that they have become an Approved Tuition Partner for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP), delivering high-quality after-school academic support to children across the UK.

The partnership comes at a time when many schools across the UK need interventions to aid students in catching up as a result of several lockdowns over the last 18 months. The pandemic has had drastic effects on students' education with schools closing for a large majority of the last year, making the attainment gap even more difficult to bridge. 

Programme Director at Learning Hive, Nayeer Afzal, said:

Learning Hive offers bespoke learning programmes across KS1-KS4 which cover everything from core subjects to drama and wellbeing. With a focus on critical thinking skills and cultivating creativity, these programmes will help develop the next generation of leaders. 

Providing small group sessions, Learning Hive is committed to closing the attainment gap that is so prevalent between disadvantaged students and their wealthier peers.

With experience of partnering with over 40 schools across London to provide after-school clubs, Learning Hive's partnership with the NTP is an exciting new opportunity that will allow the team to bring catch up programmes to even more schools, thus helping hundreds more students in need of additional support. The programme is dedicated to providing students with the stepping stones to fulfil their potential.

Learning Hive joins 52 NTP partners in the UK to work with NTP to provide 15-hour targeted interventions to each student in need of support. Over the last year, NTP has helped around 6 million students!

The team can’t wait to work with more tutors and students in the coming academic year to build their confidence, enhance academic skills and close the attainment gap.
